PUNE, Sept 22: Reacting to The Indian Express report on the plight of former State hockey player Vaishali Shinde, Rescue, a city-based Non Government Organisation (NGO), has proposed to organise a fund raiser for the artificial limbs required by Vaishali.Vaishali had lost her limbs in a train accident. Ever since, she has been seeking funds for artificial limbs to enable her to lead a normal life.
Rescue proposes to organise a cultural function with performances by prominent artistes to raise the required Rs four to five lakh. They have appealed to prominent artistes or sports persons willing to be a part of the fund raiser to get in touch with the organisation. This would enable Rescue to finalise the details of the programme.
