Inter-ministry basketball

NEW DELHI, Sept 22: Railway Board beat Ministry of Defence 44-21 in the opening league match of the Inter-ministry basketball tournament. Karan Singh (14) was the top scorer for Railway Board while RS Sekhawat (8) was the main scorer for the losers. In another match, Ministry of Finance trounced Cabinet Secretariat 58-57. Rajat (210 and Ramesh (11) were the main scorers for the winners while Joega Ram (20) scored for the losers.New Green Field win
New Green Field School (Saket) triumphed over Raisina Bengali School by 1-0 in the inter-school Zone S-25 football tournament. In another match, Frank Anthony School humbled GB Senior Secondary School (Lajpat Nagar) 2-0. In hand ball, NGF beat SS Khalsa 8-3 while St Georges School triumphed over GB Sr Sec 5-3. The Hindustan Football Club will organise Milo-Hindkishore School football tournament from October 1 at Ambedkar Stadium where 22 teams will participate.
