Surat firing - ACP, DCP suspended

AHMEDABAD, SEPT 26: Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya on Sunday issued orders of suspension of Additional Commissioner of Police Vipul Vijay and Deputy Police Commissioner Manoj Agarwal (both Surat City), in connection with the police firing in Limbayat during the Ganesh immersion procession which killed seven on September 24.An official report said the transfer orders came as immediate measures to the incident and a judicial inquiry has also been initiated into the incident.
