Man, youth murdered Phulkiben Vejla Rathwa killed his married son Jhimra Vejla Rathwa in Dewalia village under Chhotaudepur police station on Saturday night. According to police, Phulkiben intervened in a fight between Jhimra and his wife. An annoyed Jhimra assaulted his mother who, then, retaliated and beat his son to death. In another murder case, a youth, Rameshwar Natwarsinh Rathod, was beaten to death allegedly by two farm guards -- Ibrahim Sindhi and Salim Sindhi -- of Chhatral village under Dabhoi Police Station on Saturday night. According to information, Rathod had stolen about a dozen maize ears from Hamirsinh Gambhirsinh's field. Ibrahim and Salim, who guarded the field, allegedly hit Rathod repeatedly with sticks. Rathod died on the spot. Culprits in both cases have been arrested, the police said.Cyclist crushed A girl was run over by a tanker (GJ 17T 3064) on the road near Gujarat Batteries on Saturday evening. According to Jawaharnagar police, Jigyesh Maganbhai Jadav, a resident of Railway Colony near Gujarat Refinery Colony, was on her way to attend tuition classes, riding a cycle, when the mishap took place. A case of causing death due to negligence has been registered against the guilty driver. Vehicles stolen Police registered two cases of vehicle thefts on Sunday for vehicles missing in different parts of the city on Saturday. According to police, a motorcycle (GJ 6 H 3335) worth Rs 9,000 was lifted by using duplicate keys from Arvindbaug in Fategunj on Saturday night. In another case, a Kawasaki motorcycle (GGA 2442) worth Rs 25,000 was stolen from Laxmipura Society in Gorwa area the same night. Investigations are on.
