Breakthrough in protein research

NEW DELHI, SEPT 27: Indian scientists have reported a major finding which among other things would help fight Mad Cow disease, Cystic Fibrosis and Alzheimer's disease.Jayant Udgaonkar and colleagues at National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, have discovered the relation between two vital biological processes -- protein folding and unfolding.
