According to the Dadar police, at 12.15 am, two persons barged into the flat of Vasantmadhav Kolhatkar at Vishwa Kutir society on Shankar Ghanekar road. They assaulted Kolhatkar and threw him on the floor. Kolhatkar was hit on the head and died on the spot. His wife Mayatai V Kolhatkar (70) was also attacked but she managed to alert her neighbours who rushed to the flat hearing her screams and nabbed the robbers. The robbers were identified as Vinaykumar Ramsagar Yadav (20) and Ashokkumar Durgaprasad Moti (28). The Dadar police have registered a case of murder.
