Celebrations for World Geriatric Day are being organised by the geriatric services of KEM hospital on October 1 at 9.30 am at Dr Jivraj Mehta lecture theatre, (MLT) Seth G S Medical College, Parel. The programme includes a display of handicrafts and idols made by patients in the therapeutic workshop and felicitation of these patients, release of a special issue Nutrition in Elderly and a booklet on the care of the elderly formulated by the Geriatric Services Personnel.

Ayurvedic camp at Marine Lines

A free ayurvedic camp which proposes to treat asthma, chronic cold, sinus, cough, sneezing, skin-diseases including white patches, liver disorder, epilepsy and pimples will be held from September 29 to December 12 between 5 pm to 7 pm at 4 F 2 Court Chamber's, 35 New Marine Lines. Readers for the blind

The Blind Graduate Forum of India requires volunteers to read and write for visually impaired students. Communication workshop

A one-day workshop on `Enhancing Communication' is being conducted by the Aavishkar Clinic at Neral on October 9.
