CHANDIGARH, Sept 27: Nadia Saini and Divay Saini won titles in the cadet section in the boys and girls section, respectively, in the Chandigarh State table tennis championship at Sector 23 Indoor Table Tennis Hall here today.Nadia outclassed Gagandeep Kaur 21-16, 16-21, 21-17 while Divay beat Sumit Kumar 21-13, 21-12 to win the boys crown.
Vishal wins
Vishal Janeja beat Tinku 3-1 and Eroz Verma defeated Nitin 3-2 in the junior section in the first Chandigarh State pool tournament today.
In another match Tushar got the better of Gagan 3-0 and Pramod beat Yuvraj Sekhar 3-1. In the senior section, RK Duggal outplayed Narinder Kumar 4-0. In another match Ahsish Tuli beat Akshay 4-0 and Gurvinder Singh defeat Sawaranjeet 3-2.
City Star in semis
City Star Ball Badminton Club beat Government Model School-37, 29-26, 29-27, to enter the last four stage of the girls group in the Chandigarh State ball badminton tournament at Shivalik Public School in Sector 41, today.
In the boys section, SD Club beat GMSSS-19, 29-10, 29-25 and Shivalik Club outplayed GMSSS-37, 29-8, 29-10.

Rich haul by Basker (5 for 17) enabled Shishu Niketan School-22 score a convincing ten-wicket win over Sharda Sarvhitkari School-40 in the Chandigarh Inter-School cricket tournament at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, here today.

Dinesh Mongia (79) and Narinder Kwatra (50) helped Chetna Cricket Club beat Preet XI by 73 runs in the Chetna Cup cricket tournament, today. In another match Eagle XI defeated Star XI by 114 runs.

Triathlon meet
The sixth Chandigarh State triathlon championship will be held on October 10 at 7 a.m., at the Lake Club, Swimming Pool. According to a press release, the routes to the triathletes will be shown on October 9, and the players should report at the Lake Club at 5 p.m. Earlier the meet was slated for October 9.
Campfire and Trekking
The Adventure Sports Association of Chandigarh (ASAC) will organise campfire for senior citizens of Chandigarh at Kansal on October 2. Entries close with Naib Singh (manager), Cricket Stadium, Sector 16. The ASAC would also organise trekking expedition from Kalka to Kasauli, for schools and college students on October 7. Entries close on October 5, with PS Brar, Government Model School-35.
Pardeep excels
Fine all-round performance by Pardeep Kumar (41 not out and 3 for 16) enabled City Cricket Club defeat Greenway XI by eight-wicket in the first Fitwell cricket tournament.

Skating camps
The Roller Skating Federation of India is organising national coaching camps from September 30 to October 12 at Chandigarh (roller hockey), Faridabad (Speed), Ahmedabad (artistic). The RSFI is directed the selected skaters and standbyes to report on September 29 at their respective camps.
