Computer festival for kidsCyberkids, the children education division of Boston Education Software and Technologies celebrated its third anniversary from September 16-19 in Andheri, Bandra, Borivali, Santacruz and Worli.
The celebrations saw 500 children participating in various events like cartoon competitions, sweet singers competition where both children and adults experimented their voices on a computer. Apart from this there was a pizza eating, string a marconi, word puzzle and block building competitions.
Inter-collegiate drama contest
The elimination round of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kala Kendra's inter-collegiate one-act play in Hindi, Marathi, English, Gujarati and Urdu is being held at Bhavan's Auditorium, Chowpatty from September 25. Final elimination will begin from October 2. On October 9, the chosen plays will compete for the Dr K M Munshi shield for best play, best director, best actor and best actress. Children's theatre
A Bal Natya Utsav has been organised by the Coordination Commission for Vulnerable Children (CCVC), Experimental Theatre Foundation (ETF) and Prerana in January 2000 with the objective of providing children with a platform to express their needs and highlight issues which concern them in a disciplined and qualitative manner keeping all theatrical elements and values intact.
