CHANDIGARH, Oct 3: Excellent knock by Harinder Singh (85 runs) enabled CNS XI beat JAL Cricket Club by 45 runs in the 3rd JAL Cup cricket tournament at the PGI ground, today.Harinder struck ten boundaries and two sixes in his knock of 85 runs which helped CNS XI to reach a respectable total of 203 runs in the allotted 25 overs. Viresh Sharda (59) and Rakesh (20) also contributed to the score.
In reply, Rajesh Vaid 74 runs came to naught when other batsmen failed to face a hostile bowling spell of Girish Bhanot and Vivek Jain, as the duo picked up three and two wickets, respectively. JAL XI was bundled out for 158 in 17 overs.
In another match Punjab Civil Secretariat beat Bhakra Beas Management Board XI by three-wicket.
