EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PUNE, Oct 4: After ending up as a Board of Industrial and Financial Restructuring case thanks to an insipid market response, Tasty Bite has made inroads into the US market establishing itself a leading player in the Indian natural food segment.

Tasty Bite has its 5,000 TPA plant at Bhandgaon, 50 kms from Pune, where it manufactures a range of RTS authentic India curry sauces and entrees. A technology called as retort pouch packaging is used to to give in a shelf life of 18 months sans refrigeration and retain flavour without using preservatives or irradiation.

The company has an individual quick freeze facility with 10,000 TPA capacity, cold storage at -18 Co for 2000 MT and 33 acres arable land to source agricultural produce in-house.

The management is confident that the country is ready for the `Ready To Serve' curry sauces and entrees. ``This year we are expecting a growth rate of 60 to 70 per cent,'' says Ravi Nigam, president of the company.
