Hurriyat leaders held in J&K
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
SRINAGAR, OCT 4: Acting chairman of Hurriyat Conference (HC) Mohammad Yassen Malik and Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq were arrested along with several Hurriyat activists soon after polling ended in Anantnag constituency on Monday.The arrests were made after the two HC leaders addressed a hurriedly convened press conference at Rajbagh headquarters here claiming that the Hurriyat's poll boycott call in Anantnag Parliamentary constituency had evoked ``full response.''
