Bhargava to quit Eicher

NEW DELHI: The long-serving Eicher group chief executive Subodh Bhargava will be replaced by S Sandilya on April one next year. The Eicher group also announced the appointment of Sandilya as group vice chairman-designate with immediate effect. Sandilya was managing director of Eicher Motors Ltd, besides being incharge of group finance, strategic planning, audit and information technology. He has been a member of Eicher's group management board for the last ten years. Sandilya joined Eicher Tractors Ltd in 1975.

Templeton chief moves to Singapore

MUMBAI: Vijay C Advani, president and chief executive offer, Templeton Asset Management (India) Pvt Ltd has been appointed the managing director of the Mid/Near East Region for Templeton Worldwide inc. The region comprises of India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey, Cyprus, the Mid East and South Africa. Advani will be responsible for all of Templeton's marketing activities in this new region.

Top levelreshuffle at Morgan StanleyMUMBAI: JM Morgan Stanley and Morgan Stanely Dean Witter announced that Vikram Gandhi, vice chairman, JM Morgan Stanely and President, Morgan Stanely Dean Witter India, will relocate to New York to assume the role of chief operating officer of the firm's recently formed global E-Commerce Steering Committee. Mihir Doshi will replace Gandhi as vice chairman of JM Morgan Stanley Securities and will continue to be the CEO of the company. Naina Lal Kidwai will replace Gandhi as vice chairman of JM Morgan Stanley. Raju Panjwani will become chief operating officer of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter's interest in India.

NFCL turnover increases 30 per centHYDERABAD: Nagarjuna Fetilizers and Chemicals Ltd (NFCL), flagship company of Nagarjuna group, has achieved 30 per cent increase in turnover and 29 per cent increase in production for the second quarter ended September 30, 1999 over the corresponding period in last fiscal year.
