On Sunday, the Government had changed police director general and shifted 31 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including police chiefs of 11 districts, besides 38 IAS officers, including deputy commissioners of 13 of the 19 districts. That was the first major shakeup at the administrative and police level since the Om Prakash Chautala Government assumed office on July 24.
