While implementing the instructions of the CVC and Union Department of Personnel and Training, the Administration has directed all its administrative secretaries to identify and submit a list of sensitive posts under their control within 15 days, and send the same to the UT Department of Personnel within a week thereafter.

The officials who have been on sensitive seats for a period of more than three years without any exception would be transferred to nonsensitive posts, except in cases where a post requires expertise in a particular field or other administrative exigencies.

These orders supersede all other existing instructions issued from time to time by the Administration.

Advisory board for minimum wages recast
The UT Administrator has reconstituted the Advisory Board for guiding Chandigarh Administration in matters of fixing and revising the minimum rates of wages of employees working on the Scheduled Employments in the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

According to a notification, the Administrator has appointed the UT Home Secretary as its chairman, with the local MP, UT Chief Engineer and Labour Commissioner as its independent members.

The employee representatives on the Board include V.P. Vadhera (HMS), Devi Dayal Sharma (AITUC), Janak Raj Khillan (INTUC), Inderjit Singh (CITU), while among the employer representatives are Ravinder Uppal of Industries Association of Chandigarh, Inder Lal Batra of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, Rajeev Gupta of Federation of Small Scale Industries and the president of Hotels and Restaurant Association of Northern India.
