MUMBAI, OCT 13: Two persons owing allegiance to the Chhota Shakeel gang were detained and a large amount of weapons seized in a major operation by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) at a flat at Parmeshwari Bhavan, 14th Road, Khar at around 7:30 pm today.Police confiscated two AK-47 rifles, eight revolvers, ten .9 mm pistols, over 1,000 live cartridges (weighing nearly two kgs) and an unspecified number of handgrenades. Director general of police Arvind Inamdar said the two persons were being interrogated by police, and it was found that they belong to the Chhota Shakeel gang.
Police had arrested many anti-social elements on suspicion and their interrogation revealed that the flat at Khar was being used for illegal activities.
