The boutique is the first venture of Amrita Singh, a city based designer who has exhibitions of suits to her credit. L'image, a French meaning "The Image" has a range of suits for various occasions including weddings and casual wear.

Amrita Singh told Newsline, "What I create is not that its for just one season and its out. The creations are evergreen and can be worn after any number of years and they will look equally fresh."

The boutique was inaugurated by Manju Lakhanpal, Income Tax Commissioner. Traditional suits designed with imported and Indian fabrics, shirts with Pakistani salwars and shirts catering to 30 plus age group are among the items available. Among the trendy outfits, Indo-Western suits, with kurtas and straight salwars and a duppata have been put on display.

The fancy suits and designs have fancy price tags as well as the prices start from Rs 3000. " Each and every item we have here is a selected item and one that is bound to please one's aesthetic sense. The response we have had so far is very encouraging specially from the elitest group," said Amrita.
