BJP advances National Executive meet

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, OCT 15: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday advanced its National Executive meeting scheduled to be held in New Delhi from November 13 and 14.

Party General Secretary M Venkaiah Naidu told newspersons that the National Executive had been preponed to November 3 and 4 because the Prime Minister would be away for a week at Durban (South Africa) from November 10 onwards to attend the Commonwealth Conference.

The main agenda before the executive would be a review and in-depth analysis of the just-concluded Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. It will also hold discussions on the organisational elections due next year besides preparing the strategy for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Bihar and Orissa.

He said the party was expecting the report of the sub-committee set up under the chairmanship of vice-president K Jana Krishnamoorty to suggest changes in the party constitution with regard to organisational elections. The report will be submitted by November 15.
