Ranchi, Oct 17: An Army officer has moved the High Court here praying for justice against what he has termed as ``malafide, capricious and illegal action'' of his suprerior officers against him for bringing to their notice '' unauthorised and unaccounted stock'' of demolition explosives and ammunition in the ordnance unit of the 23 Infantry Division''.Captain Anand Kumar, who was earlier posted as in-charge of the 23 Infantry Division, in a writ petition has charged his superiors with harassing him for exposing the said irregularities in the unit.
The petition, which was filed on October 14 by advocate Rajivranjan on behalf of the peitioner, has prayed the court for a directive to the respondents for an immediate and a thorough inquiry into the detection of ``unauthorised and unaccounted'' ammunition and explosives including TNT slabs, gun powders, detonators, plastic explosives which were not mentioned in the ledger balance used by the Army unit to keep an account of the ammunition.
This is not thefirst time that an army officer has decided to knock the doors of the high court to escape the mental torture by superior officers. Some few years back in Guwahati an army officer moved the court against his immediate superior, complaining of harassment and mental torture on the job.
