Infantry Day celebrations
Pune Sub Area will celebrate the Infantry Day on October 27 with a `bara khana' and cocktails to commemorate the historic landing of Indian Army at Srinagar air field on October 27, 1948, to save Kashmir from the tribal invaders from across the border. Col G Ilangovan, Colonel-A, Pune Sub Area, informs that all retired infantry officers and their wives are invited for the celebrations. Ayurveda camp from Oct 25
The city-based Ayurveda Research Institute has organised a camp on reducing obesity from October 25 to November 5. Ayurveda experts will examine and advise the patients. Panchakarma treatment will be given at concessional rates if required. For more details, one may contact on telephone number 341744.

Cummins Art Circle's anniv
The Cummins Art Circle of Cummins India recently celebrated its 25th anniversary this year in the presence of noted actor Dr Shriram Lagoo. The art circle arranges various activities including participation in drama, one-act play, rangoli, drawings and photography contests.

Arthritis camp held
Janseva Foundation and Lions Club of Aundh, Pune, recently organised a treatment camp for the disabled and persons suffering from arthritis and rheumatism. In all, 100 patients were examined and treated at Pune Municipal Corporation's clinic at Erandwane.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Madhav Sangle, Deepak Shah, governor of Lions 323 D 2 province were the guests at the inaugural function. Dr. Vinod Shah, chairman of Janseva Foundation, and Prof. Ram Shinde, a trustee, spoke on the occasion.

Nature orientation camp
A nature orientation camp at the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary in North Kanara, has been organised by Nisargavedh and Ruturang, from November 11 to 18.The camp will include nature trails, slide shows, film shows, and nature games.
