The decision was taken at state executive committee meeting of the Communist Party of India, which felt that hike in diesel prices would adversely affect farmers and lead to increase in passenger fares, transportation and manufactured goods, they said. The meeting also condemned the Centre for fuelling increase in prices of essential commodities.
