Freedom fighter Limaye dead

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
NASHIK, OCT 20: Freedom fighter, journalist and socialist leader Madhavrao Purushottam Limaye, died on Wednesday afternoon. He was 83.

He breathed his last around 2.00 pm after a prolonged illness. He was a widower and is survived by a daughter. Born in Pune on February 2, 1916, Limaye was a BA. He had been active in the freedom struggle, the Goa liberation movement and the Samyukta Maharashtra movement. He had been jailed for 6 six years in the pre-Independence period. He was one of the main socialist leaders from the State.
