HUNTINGTON (US): Making up for a rocky start, Tonya Harding skated a near-perfect routine to finish second in her first Professional competition.``I didn't know that I had it in me,'' she said after Tuesday night's performance.

Five years since her implication in the knee-whacking of rival Nancy Kerrigan and her last competition at the 1994 Lillehamme Olympics, the 28-year-old Harding received the loudest ovation of the competition.

Wearing a conservative white-and-black dress, Harding started with a slow violin-and-guitar ballad and built to a techno-dance number. After nailing her third triple jump, she was beaming.

Borg to carry on

STOCKHOLM: A knee injury during a recent tournament in Russia has prompted Swedish tennis star Bjorn Borg to consider reducing his appearances on the Seniors Tour.

``I plan to give tennis another year. I'm not planning to quit completely, I'll never do that. But I plan to cut back on traveling in a year or so,'' Borg saidon Tuesday. `I twisted my knee when I played in St Petersburg. The cartilage and ligament in the left knee were injured,'' Borg said. The 43-year-old player played for the first time after knee surgery three weeks ago.
