Of them, 20 are of Cabinet rank while eight are ministers of state with independent charge. Four women, all first-timers to the Assembly, were given ministerial berths.

The new ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor C Rangarajan at a simple function on the lawns of Raj Bhavan.

The Cabinet ministers are: S Aruna, Ayyanna Patrudu, P Chandrasekhar, N Farooq, N Janardhan Reddy, J Lakshmi Padmavathi, Tummala Nageswara Rao, K E Prabhakar, K Pushpaleela, Ch Ramachandra Rao, K Ramachandra Rao, T Seetaram, N Sivaprasad, D Sivarama Raju, K Srihari, P Srinivas Reddy, K Subbarayudu, B Veera Reddy, M Venkateswara Rao and K Vidyadhar Rao.
