60 MLAs rally behind Sadhu

PATNA: Rebellion in the RJD against the proxy rule of Laloo Prasad has started taking concrete shape. Sources close to Laloo's brother-in-law Sadhu Yadav say that nearly 60 legislators held a meeting on Monday and extended their support to his stand.

Kalyan to quit

NEW DELHI: After dithering for a long time, UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh has agreed to step down from the post in wake of BJP's poor performance in the recently held Lok Sabha elections in the State.

61 die in mishaps

SHILLONG: Sixty one persons were killed and 82 injured seriously in two bus accidents on Monday. In the first mishap, a mini bus plunged into a precipice at Mawshamok village in Meghalaya killing 31 persons. In another mishap, 27 pilgrims were killed in Hoshiarpur, Punjab.

PM-Musharraf meet

ISLAMABAD: Gen Musharraf and Prime Minister A B Vajpayee are likely to meet on the sidelines of next month's SAARC summit in Kathmandu, Pakistani news paper Jung hasreported.
