SRINAGAR, OCT 27: Border Security Force (BSF) jawans have busted a major gang of grenade-throwers with the arrest of four Al-Fateh militants in Kashmir valley, a BSF official said on Wednesday.The militants, including a self-styled coordinator and a financial chief of the outfit, were apprehended by the 22nd Battalion of the BSF in coordination with Yousmarg team of BSF intelligence from downtown Srinagar on Tuesday evening, BSF Deputy Inspector General R P Singh said.
After gathering information about the gang, the BSF jawans smashed their hideouts and arrested four ultras, he said.
The raids were conducted at Mukdom kocha, Chattabal-Bagyas, Urdu Bazar and Pather Masjid localities of interior Srinagar, he said, adding the arrested militants were identified as Mohammad Yaseen Nazar, outfit chief Javed Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Ahmad Sheikh and Javed Ahmad Batoo. Interrogation led to recovery of six hand grenades, four magazines.
