Yadav's brace assists Mumbai to 5-0 victory

MARGAO, OCT 27: A brace by forward Abhishek Yadav enabled West Zone runners-up Mumbai to score a runaway 5-0 victory over Rohtak Vidyapeeth and assure themselves a berth in the semi-final of the All-India University Football Championship.

Mumbai, who won both their matches in row have so far logged six points and will play their last Group B match against LN Mithila University.

Mumbai lads started with full steam at the Nehru Stadium, Fatorda here and took a lead as early as in the 12th minute through Lekmat Singh. Abhishek consolidated their lead with two quick goals in the 22nd and 29th minutes to lead 3-0.

After resumption, Mumbai added two more goals to their tally through Imchen Lanuchaba in the 55th minute and Yadav in the 88th minute to complete the rout.
