MP Govt urged to review IPS officer's suspension
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
BHOPAL, OCT 31: The Indian Police Service Association (Madhya Pradesh chapter) has urged the MP government to review its decision to suspend the then superintendent of police of Khandwa district, R C Patel, in connection with the beating up of BJP MLA, Kunwar Vijay Shah, at Khandwa on September 27.Expressing concern and anguish at the suspension of Patel, the Association said in a release that the Government's action without proper inquiry would only serve to demoralise the police force and set a dangerous precedent which could ultimately endanger the rule of law in the state. There was an established procedure for initiating action against officers of the All India Services, the association said adding that the suspension should be reviewed immediately and justice be done to the aggrieved officer.
