City schools overall champs in state hockey
OCTOBER 31: Mumbai bagged the overall championhip in the Multigames Inter-school state-level hockey tournament at Akola today. According to information available here, Mumbai won three of the five finals they contested. Khalsa completed a double when their girls and boys defeated Kolhapur 2-1 and 5-4 (0-0) respectively in the under-19 finals. Smitali Satam and Mamta Singh scored for Khalsa girls.The girls from Durello Convent, Bandra earned Mumbai its third title, when they defeated Pune 3-2 in the under-14 final.
