Sai Sansthan doctor's death case withdrawn

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
AHMEDNAGAR, Nov 1: The case involving the death of Dr Madhuri Tamboli, employed by Shirdi's Sai Sansthan, took a new turn with the brother of the medical practitioner, Nitin Gokhale, withdrawing his complaint against the senior officials of the sansthan.

Gokhale withdrew his complaint after meeting the Sai Sansthan chief D M Sukthankar who had come to Shirdi from Mumbai here on Saturday. Immediately on his arrival, Sukthankar had called on Dr Madhuri's family to console them.

In his complaint with the Shirdi police, Gokhale had blamed Sai Santhan's chief executive officer Ajit Pawar and administrative officer Waman Galande for the death of his sister.

In a statement issued here, the Sai Sansthan has said that Gokhale had voluntarily withdrawn his complaint and hoped that this will close the controversy related to the death of Dr Tamboli.

Dr Tamboli had died recently after a brief illness. It was alleged that harassment by the Sansthan officials had caused her death.
