Two cases of burglary
In two separate cases of house-break reported in the city on Tuesday night, cash and valuables worth Rs 47,600 were stolen from two houses. According to the police, miscreants stole cash and goods worth Rs 33,000 from Mahalaxmi Trading Company on the Bajwa Gandhi Road under the Jawaharnagar Police Station. In another case, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 14,600 was stolen, after miscreants broke open a steel almirah in a house in Charottar Nagar, near Chhani village.Valuables stolen
One Padmaben Dayaram Yadav, a resident of Vidyakunj Society in Manjalpur, complained to the police that gold ornaments worth Rs 5,230 was stolen from her bag in the Khanderao Market, where she had gone for marketing, on Tuesday. According to police, someone unzipped the bag, she was carrying, and stole the valuables.
Conned
One Dhiraj Narsinhrao Naidu, a resident of Randhildham Society on New Sama Road, alleged that two persons, posing as policemen, forcibly snatched Rs 600 from him near the Kamatibuag on Tuesday. The two also threatened of serious consequences if the matter was reported to the police.
Vehicle thefts
In two separate cases of vehicle theft reported during the last 24 hours, a two-wheeler and a car were stolen from two different places in the city. According to police, a Hero Honda motorcycle (GJ 6 MM 9646) worth Rs 35,000 was stolen from the parking lot in Jalaram Complex and a Maruti Zen car worth Rs 1.75 lakh from the premises of the Karelibaug Home Science Centre.
