Youth dead
A 22-year-old youth, Ketan Navin Lapsiwala, died on Tuesday, due to heart failure, the Mahidhara police said. According to his brother's statement to the police, Ketan was sitting in his house in Darukhana Sheri, Begumpura, when he suddenly fainted. He was rushed to a private clinic, where he was declared dead. Further investigations are going on.Two missing
A woman and her three-year-old son were reported missing from the Sachin area of the city. Vaikunj Bhikhu Desai, a resident of Rang Avdhoot Society, told the police that his daughter-in-law, Purnima Desai and her son Parth, were missing since Tuesday evening. Desai said that Purnima was wearing a blue sari while Parth was wearing shorts and a half-sleeved shirt. Desai added that the boy was sick and his body had swollen up considerably. The Sachin police has registered the case.
Fatal fall
An employee of a textile unit at Bhatkol, Haider Hussain Malek, died when he fell from the tin roof of the factory, on Tuesday evening. Ramji Mistry, a fellow employee, told the Kosamba police that Malek had climbed up the roof to remove a few tiles due to a fire in the textile unit. However, he slipped and fell to the ground, sustaining fatal injuries. He was rushed to a private hospital, where he was declared dead on admission.
House-break
Cash, clothes and gold ornaments worth Rs 10,300 were reported stolen from a locked house in Rander area of the city, during Tuesday night. Bhailal Kalidas Sindha, resident of Aakar Row Houses, told the police that unidentified persons broke into his locked house and decamped with cash worth Rs 8,500 alongwith clothes and gold valuables worth Rs 1,800. A case has been registered, but no arrests have been made till now.
