Gangurde told mediapersons here that he had requested Gaikwad to visit few sites in his constituency which was accepeted by him. Gangurde said when the issue of shifting of stalls near Sarasbaug was being discussed, Gaikwad said he would shift all the stalls that posed threat to the traffic. Gangurde said Gaikwad abruptly left the site when he requested him to consider other proposals like providing alternate land to the stalls.

Gangurde said it was highly improper on the part of the municipal commissioner to treat an MLA in this manner. He said he had sent a letter to Assembly Speaker Arun Gujrathi about the incident.
