MUMBAI, Nov 4: Six State marks were rewritten on the opening day of the Bharat Petroleum Maharashtra State Level Athletic meet organised by the Thane Metropolitan Gymkhana at the Dadoji Konddeo Stadium, Thane on Thursday.
The marks were set by under-22 athletes with boys breaking two and the girls doubling that -- four.
Sachin Navle of Pune in 200 metres and S Thakur of Mumbai Suburbs in discus were the record setters among the boys.
The state records in girls came in 200 metres through Kavita Pandya (Mumbai City); in 5000 metres through Madhuri Gurnule (Nagpur); in High Jump through Sarita Patil (Sangli) and in hammer through Shilpa Bhalekar of Solapur.

Girls U-22: 100 hurdles: Dipti Vaidya (Thane) 15.1 secs; Ruta Patkar (Thane) Prajakta Muley (Pune). 200m: Kavita Pandya (City) 26.1 NSR: Swati Kharasne (City), Nivedita Kardekar (Thane). 800m: Uswala Bhaskar (Solapur) 2:32.2; Rupali Dhamle (Pune), Joshna Mohan (Thane). 5000: Madhuri Gurnule (Nagpur) 17:29.8 (NSR, NMR): Vaishali Chatare (Nagpur), Sharda Gavande (City).
