CHANDIGARH, Nov 5: The Christians in Punjab, while welcoming Pope John Paul-II's India tour, have extended an invitation to him to visit the state.
"Punjab government should invite the highest Christian religious dignitary (for) state honour," Christian Front president Munawar Masih and vice-president Kanwal Bakshi stated. A delegation met the CM on Friday to deliberate on the need to extend an official invitation to the Pope.
