Probe Ranjit Sagar Dam expenditure

ROOPNAGAR, Nov 5: The All India Shiromani Akali Dal (AISAD)has appealed to the President to order a high-level independent judicial probe into the huge expenditure of Rs 500 crore by the state government over construction of Ranjit Sagar Dam during the past three years.

Accusing the SAD-BJP government of providing a corrupt administration in the state, AISAD general secretary and former MP Prem Singh Chandumajra said according to their estimate, the amount spent on the Ranjit Sagar Dam project during the past three years has not exceeded Rs 100 crore.

He also sought a judicial probe into the evasion of sales tax, road tax and transport related other taxes, power tariff, and sale ad transfer of Shamlat land in the state.
