CALCUTTA, NOV 5: In a calculated move to effect a split in the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in the West Bengal Assembly on the eve of the winter session, Trinamool Congress on Friday gave a call to Congress MLAs to join its ranks if they were serious enough to fight the CPI-M.``The winter session of the Assembly begins on November 26. Our door is open for them till November 25,'' Railway Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee told newsmen after holding a meeting with some Congress MLAs and three TC legislators at the Assembly premises.
Asked if her party would admit any Congress legislator after November 25, she replied, ``It will be at the discretion of the party leadership.'' Stating that at present, at least 11 Congress MLAs have expressed their support, the TC leader said that many other Congress MLAs had also contacted her.
