Jaya case -- DVAC team in London

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHENNAI, NOV 5: A high profile team of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) had left for London in October to conduct further investigations into the Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate wealth case involving former Chief Minister Jayalalitha, it is learnt.

The investigating team comprised top police officers, including IG V C Perumal and DVAC SP N Nallama Naidu and some lawyers. The team will probe into certain foreign transactions allegedly made by Jayalalitha, her confidante Sasikala Natarajan and disowned foster son V N Sudhakaran, during the AIADMK rule between 1991 to 1996. Special judge I S Sambandam had earlier allowed a petition from the DVAC seeking permission to conduct further investigation into the overseas transactions.
