Councillor injured in Vadodara city

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, Nov 7: Bharatiya Janata Party councillor Kailash Aggrawal sustained head injuries, when three people -- led by one Nanji Bharwad -- allegedly pelted stones on him on Sunday morning. A case of attempt to murder under Section 307 IPC has been registered.

According to the police, Bharwad shared an old enmity with Aggrawal's cousin one Suresh over a petty issue. However, on Sunday morning, Bharwad came to Aggrawal's Farsan Mart shop and had an heated argument with Sueresh. And when Aggrawal tried to intervene, Bharwad and his associates hit him with a stone and fled. No arrests have been made.
