2000 Millennium Midnight

I was extremely disappointed when I learnt that the midnight of December 31, 1999 and January 1, 2000 is not `the millenium midnight.' Nevertheless it is going to be a special occasion for me.

I will definitely not perform anywhere that night and most definitely not party. Instead, I have decided to get all my relatives -- my parents, in-laws, sisters, brothers, their kiddies, everybody -- to my residence in Mumbai to celebrate the event. I am a family man and I would love to welcome the new year with my family.

In any case I think it would be pointless to venture outdoors that midnight. With too many people trying to make it a special midnight, the traffic scene is going to be bad. It is going to be completely chaotic. I'd rather sit at my window sill and see the world outside, be away from the frenzy and yet experience it.
