Senior police officers transferred

NOVEMBER 12: Ten senior police officers have been transferred in Maharashtra in the first major reshuffle effected in the police department by the Congress-NCP government. Sources said Ulhas Joshi, joint CP, (law and order), Mumbai, has been transferred as Inspector General (IG), Anti-Naxalite Operations, Nagpur, in place of U D Rajawade, who would take over as IG, State Crime Record Bureau, Pune.T K Choudhary, chief security officer, MSRTC, would take over as joint CP, administration. A V Parasnis, joint CP, (administration) would take over as chief security officer, MSRTC. R Ghadge, Amravati CP, will be additional CP, north-east Mumbai. Dr Satyapal Singh has been shifted as DIG, SRPF, Nagpur, while Pankaj Gupta, DIG, SRPF, Nagpur, would take over as deputy director, Maharashtra Police Academy, Nashik. Y C Pawar, director, Maharashtra Police Academy, has been transferred as additional CP (Mumbai), protection. A P Dhere, DIG, CID, crime, Pune, would be new additional CP, special branch, while Sunil Vaidya,additional CP, special branch, will be DIG, training, Nagpur.
