CHANDIGARH, Nov 12: A fancy dress competition for children from rural and slum areas was held at the Bal Bhawan in Sector 23 today, as a prelude to the Children's Day celebrations on November 14.Some 50 children from 20 balwadis and creches under the Child Welfare Council participated in the contest. From a little Santa Claus to a bride, from a butterfly to the popular Shaktiman, you could see miniature versions of all that the kids fancied to be.The results of the competition are as follows:
In the two-four years category: Nikhil of RP, Sector 32, bagged the first prize, Bharat of PSP, Sector 26, won the second prize, while Ritika of MC, Sector 25, won the third prize.
In the four-six years category: Puja of DMC, Sector 38, won the first prize, Rekha of MC, Sector 25, bagged the second prize and Shailendra Partap from MC, Sector 26, bagged the third prize.
