sydney, nov 12: Brazilian superstar Ronaldo was to fly out of Sydney today without even kicking a ball in two friendlies against Australia because of a row between his National team and Italian club.Brazil coach Wanderley Luxemburgo announced Ronaldo would fly back to Italy after FIFA supported Inter Milan's call to ban him from playing a second match in Melbourne next Wednesday.
Luxemburgo had earlier warned that if Ronaldo could not play that match he would not be fielded in the first game either.
Torn between his club and country, Ronaldo said he deeply regretted not being able to take part but to ignore the FIFA decision could lead to threats of sanctions or contractual problems with Inter Milan.
Promoters IMG, who had used Ronaldo's presence to sell tickets priced at up to 95 US Dollars, decided to refund the gate money.
