Third place went to MDAV-22 who defeated GMHS-28, 12-29, 29-25, 29-16.In the under-19 section, SD-32 outplayed GMSS-46, 29-19, 29-24 and SGGSS-35 defated GSSS-38, 29-8, 29-8 to set up title clash.

Aarti excels
Aarti Mehta of Chandigarh shot gold in with a new meet mark in .22 standard rifle three position event in junior section in the 9th GV Mavlankar National shooting championship (NR) held recently at Ahemdabad. Aarti scored 490/600. She also won silver in senior group with the same score.

Aarti also won bronze in .22 prone (junior) and air rifle (OS) event in senior section. She was winner of silver medal in junior category (air rifle).

Harwinder Singh (centre fire pistol) won silver and Holinder Singh (.22 three position) and Gurparnit Singh Sekhon (air rifle) and Pavittar Singh (.22 standard rifle prone) were the other shooter to win bronze medals in the meet.

Golf meet postponed
The second PGA Cup golf championship slated to be held at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, from December 1, has been preponed due to unavoidable circumstances. According to SK Sharma, president, Punjab Golf Association, the meet will now be held on November 23 and 24 at the same venue.

The participants should report at the venue on November 22 at 12.30 p.m.
