Dr Sharma prevails over Narang

NEW DELHI, November 12: Dr PC Sharma opened his DDA tennis singles title campaign with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Dr GR Narang while Sudhir beat Lokesh Chopra 6-4, 6-0 and PK Kapahi defeated Gulshan Mehta 6-0, 6-0. In other tennis first round matches of the DDA Autumn Gala being played at the DDA's Poorvi Delhi Khel Parisar, Rajeev Aggarwal beat Navneet Singh 6-0, 6-0 and Sharad Shrivastava got past Ajay Arora 6-3, 6-3.

In tennis doubles quarter-finals, Ajay Arora/Umesh Luthra beat Rajesh Rastogi/Prem Rohilla 6-4, 6-3 and Pramod Kapahi/SP Singh defeated Anil Arora/Vikas Chawla 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. In badminton singles, Rajiv Bajaj thrashed Kn AK Singh 15-6, 15-12 to set up title clash with Vikash Pathak, who overcame a fighting Arveen Nehra 12-15, 15-7, 15-10.
