PUNE, Nov 14: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has made a demand to the PCNTDA to share the costs for capital works of water supply and drainage. The PCMC expects the PCNTDA to pay a whopping Rs 62 crore.PCMC has been providing water supply and drainage facilities to the PCNTDA sectors since 1989, literally free of charges. The PCNTDA on the other hand has been recovering development charges from the plot owners and others who have been provided residential facilities.
The PCMC has said that the PCNTDA should give Rs 50.82 crore for water supply works and Rs 11.25 crore for drainage works. The PCNTDA is likely to seek assistance from the State Government for getting the amount.
