CHANDIGARH, Nov 14: Ten legislators of the Haryana Vikas Party (HVP) today urged Governor Mahabir Prasad to dismiss the anti-people Om Prakash Chautala government for its failure on all fronts.In a memorandum submitted to the Governor here, the HVP legislators requested him not to dissolve the House, if Chautala makes any such recommedation. The Governor must consult all the legislators before acting on any such recommendation, they said, adding that the state was in no position to take the financial burden of immediate Assembly elections.
The HVP legislators also criticised the Chief Minister for inducting four of their fellow MLAs in his ministry, describing his action as "illegal and undemocratic". They sought immediate disqualification of Jagdish Nayar, Jagdish Yadav, Ramswaroop Rama and Subhash Chaudhary.The memorandum was signed by Somvir Singh, Jagbir Singh, Chhattar Singh Chauhan, Attar Singh Saini, Satpal Sangwan and five other HVP legislators.
Meanwhile, Haryana Congress has decided to "gherao" the state Vidhan Sabha tomorrow in protest against the hike in diesel prices and the alleged irregular and inadequate power supply to farmers and domestic consumers in the state.The HPCC has decided to organise a protest march from the grounds adjacent to Hotel Shivalikview for gherao of the Vidhan Sabha. The march will be led by former Union minister Rajesh Pilot and HPCC chief Bhupinder Singh Hooda, according to a party spokesman.
