Pardeep clocked 4:20 for gold while VP Sammy of Garhwal Sector took silver in 4:22. Sammy team mate Sat Pal Singh finished one-second behind to take home the bronze medal.

Garhwal Sector also won first two places in high jump event.

Earlier, Divakar Prasad, Inspector General, ITBP, declared the meet open.

More than 300 players are participants in the meet which will conclude on November 17.
