Aids workshop
The NSS Unit of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, organised a workshop on AIDS awareness at the college today. Dr Avneesh Jolly, Chandigarh Hotline coordinator at the Servants of the People Society, spoke on precautions, prevention and awareness. Principal P.S. Sangha stressed the need for moral values and strong character to save oneself from the epidemic. Banta Singh spoke on safe and voluntary blood donation.ABVP memo
In a memorandum to the principal, the Homoeopathic College, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad unit has demanded identity cards for students, a common room, student notice boards and better canteen functioning. According to a press note issued today, the college authorities have accepted all demands and will implement them within 30 days. PCP from Nov 28
