Police said Faquir and his two sons tied the boy up with a rope in the verandah of his house and then assaulted him. Sukhdev's sister called up the police who raided Faqir's house and got the boy released. While Faqir has been arrested, his sons are at large, police said. The two families had a dispute on Diwali on the issue of crackers.

The boy has been sent for medical examination to the Sector 16 General Hospital.
